How did this engine get its nickname? Well, it all started with the project vehicle that was featured in Hot VW's Magazine in 1996 & 1997. Todd Kaho, a writer for hot VW's asked us to design & supply a motor for the project car. This is the final product. This engine has proven to be a great success in providing great reliability, awesome street performance and excellent driveability. Just ask Todd Kaho!

MOFOCO boasts the only completely MADE IN USA VW Aircooled Cylinder Heads. The 040 Super Street head is a performance replacement cylinder head with 37.5mm stainless intake valves and 32mm stainless exhaust valves. These heads have been ported and polished for better flow and more low end torque. We have specifically designed these castings for better cooling and better performance than original castings.

MOFOCO manufactures the only truely MADE IN THE USA VW aircooled cylinder head on the marlet.  The 040A is specifically designed for constant run RPM engines.

MOFOCO manufactures the only completely MADE IN USA VW Aircooled Cylinder Heads. The 040 head is a stock replacement cylinder head with seats installed for 35.5mm intake valves and 32mm exhaust valves. These heads are the highest quality stock replacement heads on the market today.
