At Mofoco, all of our engines, transmissions, and heads are built to order! Because of this, there are typical wait times of two days, to four weeks. Please call us at 1-800-558-8955 to discuss the wait times or ask any questions at the time of your order.
A longblock is our most popular choice. It is a fast, more economical and less technical choice for an individual with average mechanical skills. A longblock is the entire bottom end. Swapping of the exhaust, carburetion, ignition, clutch and sheet metal is what you need to perform, in order to complete an engine exchange.

This engine is a spin off of the "Project Streetwise". Many of you asked for a similar engine combination but one that has more horsepower without scarificing too much reliability. The "Pro Street" is that engine! It differs in size and in valve train. It does not have a hydraulic setup, it comes with a performance camshaft designed for dual carbs.

How did this engine get its nickname? Well, it all started with the project vehicle that was featured in Hot VW's Magazine in 1996 & 1997. Todd Kaho, a writer for hot VW's asked us to design & supply a motor for the project car. This is the final product.
